miercoles, el 15 de febrero, -ar verb endings and -ar verbs

Today we learned new -ar ending verbs, mostly to do with school and education. We then reviewed verb conjugations and practiced with a Verb Practice sheet.

Verbos:
ayudar- help
buscar- to look for
contestar- to answer
entrar (a/en)- to enter
esperar- to wait
llegar- to arrive
llevar- to wear
necesitar- to need
pasar- to pass/pass by
usar- to use
ensenar- to teach
escuchar- to listen
hablar- to talk
mirar- to look/watch
preparar- to prepare
sacar (una buena nota)- to get (a good grade)

Verb Conjugations for -ar ending verbs:
yo (I)---------------- -o
tu (you, familiar)---- -as

el (he, Juan, Sr. Juarez)}
ella (she, Maria) }----- -a
Usted (you formal) }

nosotros (we, Maria y yo) -amos

ellos (they, masculine; Juan y Jose)}
ellas (they, feminine; Maria y Ana) } ---- -an
ustedes (you plural/you all, Marta y tu)}

miercoles, el 1 de febrero

Today in class we worked and played with the vocabulary for parts of the classroom. Our next class is next Friday, 2/10, because of the High School Exit Exam for 10th graders on Wednesday, the 8th.

Parts of the Classroom Vocab:

Homework: Draw and label our classroom, use each vocabulary word at least once.

Past homework that many still need to do: Go onto the following website, listent to a few native speakers in the videos at a few different levels. Write down what you understood, how it felt to listen to someone so fluent, if you could get the gist of what they were saying, etc.
